Sam Carter

President and Director of Product Development

Sam founded ELC in 2007, after more than 25 years in software development. He leads ELC’s product development and manages customer relationships.

Since 1999, Sam has designed, implemented, and operated several learning delivery systems that provide security awareness training to the US Federal Government, worldwide financial institutions, and both public and private companies.

His background also includes software development of real-time systems, and network design for international enterprises, including Gould SEL, Telematics International, ECI Telecom and various other companies in Europe and Asia.

Sam holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Florida.

Anneli Aila Ellis

Director of Product Design

With over twenty years of experience in photo editing, graphic design and film editing, Anneli leads ELC’s course design and new product design.

Anneli brings her creative and artistic vision to the visual medium of eLearning.

Anneli is from Germany and is fluent not only in her native language and English, but also has a command of several languages.

Heather Zauner

Manager of Operations

Heather manages day-to-day activities of ELC’s Learning Management System and coordinates customer support.

She is a creative problem solver with substantial technical and business experience.

Heather has traveled and studied extensively in China, Western Europe and United Kingdom. She is a graduate of Washington University and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

Deborah Nichols

Director of Corporate Affairs

Deborah leads ELC’s regulatory and legal affairs worldwide. She has over 30 years of experience in corporate governance, international trade, licensing, and regulatory matters, with the last 18 years managing corporate governance for Marriott International, Inc. including serving as Assistant Corporate Secretary for Marriott.

Deborah is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Angela Ellis

Manager of Communications

Angela manages ELC’s corporate communications, including social media, press releases, and marketing. Before joining ELC she was a national broadcast commercial editor and a studio film data manager since 2008. She has been a content marketing specialist and content editor since 2001.
